THE AUGUST EDIT

THE CRAFTED PIECE

Handmade by the Yoruba artisans of Nigeria, this lounge chair has been embellished with thousands of tiny glass beads applied to fabric covers that are then stitched onto the frame. Taking up to 14 weeks to complete, each piece is a functional work of art, designed to be both sturdy and comfortable for everyday use – and no two are the same. Yoruba beaded chair, £2,200, Pentreath & Hall.
