Three closed-door meetings between Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and political strategist have triggered speculation about the formation of a third front at the national level. The meetings, one held in Mumbai and the other two in Delhi, were set up by Lok Sabha MP and Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule. Meanwhile, there is trouble brewing in the state. The NCP has started projecting Sule as Pawar’s political heir and future chief minister. This hasn’t gone down well with the camp. The ambitious deputy chief minister is widely seen as Pawar’s heir in state politics. Perhaps Kishor needs to work on the Pawar family first.
