The Planet of Untold Possibilities
Neptune is a fascinating planet, but it is also exasperating. It is named for the Roman version of the mythological god of the sea, and is essentially the same as the Greek god Poseidon. Astrologically, Neptune is the planet of untold possibilities, promises, and potentials, yet it also serves as the planet of predicaments, perils, and pitfalls, many of which are often caused by our own actions. Neptune is currently making its way through the zodiac sign of Pisces, where it first showed up in April 4, 2011. After moving back to Aquarius in August 4, 2011, it reentered Pisces on February 3, 2012, holding steady there for almost a decade now, and it will not begin to move into the next sign until 2025. Neptune in the sign it naturally rules has greatly increased the power and potency of its interactions with the Sun, Moon, and planets, but it has also brought out the softer side of a planet that is just as capable of inspiring us as it is of sending us down the path of dalliance and least resistance.
