BROOKE SHIELDS JOINS HER DAUGHTERS TO CHECK OUT THE BEACH IN STYLE

Why stick with two-pieces when you can have three? Brooke Shields turned a mother-daughter beach day into her very own costume party by co-ordinating with her teenage girls Rowan, 18, and Grier, 15 (above and below).

Posing for photos in Southampton, New York, the trio showed that they share not just a love of gingham swimwear, but a healthy body confidence, too.

Posting one image on Instagram, Brooke added the caption “soaking it all in”.

The actor, 56, who found fame aged just 15, recently revealed how her girls had encouraged her to celebrate her shape. “I was never skinny,” she said in an interview. “My daughters say I’m curvy. I watch them celebrate it. I’m learning from them and they always say you’re better off with something that shows your body.”

The shoreline shoot also gave Brooke the opportunity to bare the scar she got from surgery to repair a broken femur last year. The star needed seven metal rods and a plate inserted after falling off a balance board in a New York gym, an incident she has called “transformative”.

She said: “I realised it’s never too late for a fresh start.”
