The world’s third-largest gem-quality diamond, a 1,098 carat stone, was unearthed in Botswanaa unit of De Beers, reports Mbongeni Mguni on Bloomberg. Only the Cullinan diamond (discovered in South Africa in 1905) and the Lesedi la Rona (found in Botswana in 2015) are larger.
