Everyman classics continue rapid rise

The growing affection for everyman classics has been reflected by a rapid rise in values, new data reveals. At one stage, humble former street furniture cars like the Austin Allegro and Princess were the subject of ridicule, but now they are enjoying growth that eclipses established classic exotica like the Jaguar E-Type.

Analysts at insurer Hagerty have added 196 everyman classics to its latest price guide update, bringing the total to nearly 2200. Data has been compiled from UK auction
