MONTH 2: Ben gets some screen time with his Process 134
I’ve probably spent as much time staring at the SRAM AXS app on my phone as I have the view from behind the handlebar on the Kona this month. Not that either can be considered a life sentence.
The thing is, with so much tech on the 134 Supreme, setting it up has become next level. Not only do you have the regular mechanical parts to dial in, like the suspension and the riding position, but you also need to pair the app with the AXS drivetrain, dropper post and TyreWiz pressure sensors. Then get a handle on what they all do and how they can be customised.
One of the coolest things about having the full AXS set-up, with a controller on each side of the bar, is that you can configure the different switches to do whatever you like. Want to change up with your right thumb and down with your left thumb? Go for it. Want to activate the dropper with your right finger and shift with the left hand? Make it so. Boringly I’ve stuck with the standard set-up of dropper on the left and gears on the right, mirroring a normal cable-operated set up.
The TyreWiz is quite a cool thing to have too –once you set your desired tyre pressures in the app and a pressure variance, the little light on the rim-mounted sensor let’s you know if the pressure is within your chosen range.
I went with 22psi up front and 24psi on the back with a 1psi variance. Pressures are shown in real time on
