HOW TO MAKE WOVEN WALL ART

MATERIALS

■ Small frame loom

■ Strong cotton warp thread

■ Medium-weight wool and cotton yarns in greens, brown, beige, yellow, burgundy, grey, black, white and blue

■ Tapestry needle

■ Weaving comb

■ Card

■ Dowel

Recreating a beautiful scene in nature doesn’t always call for paints and a canvas – this work of art was inspired by the colour and sunshine of a spring day in the Scottish Highlands, and brought to life using yarn and a loom.

It’s a gorgeous snapshot that’ll add the loveliest view to any wall. Plus, even if you’ve never tried weaving before, Mary’s thorough guide takes you step-by-step through the whole process.
