Carolina rigging is a time-tested technique popularized in the early 1980s by legendary B.A.S.S. competitor and 1985 Classic champion Jack Chancellor. The Alabama pro fished his signature “Do-Nothing” worm on a long leader in front of a heavy sinker that he reeled slowly across river-channel structure. It’s a basic rig that still works everywhere, one all Bassmasters need to try!

Basic Carolina Setup

(1) Start with main line testing from 12 to 20 pounds. (2) Slide a 1/2- to 1-ounce egg- or bullet-shaped
