She’d reason that if the intelligence provided by the Philatelic Society London’s President, Mr Garth, was correct and the forgers had a skilled engraver producing high quality stamp reproductions, then it was no coincidence that the man she had followed from the suspect’s stamp shop in Cullum Street was now inside the premises of an engraver and printer. She felt compelled to uncover what his connection was and that meant entering the premises. As to her behaviour once inside, Noella reconciled this on the grounds that such acts of subterfuge were were paying her for.
