LIFE IN LIMERICK

Now then, where were we before I decided to go off gallivanting through Italy, Switzerland and France (and on a fool’s errand to London…) in search of my 3x great-grandfather Joseph Riboldi?

Ah, yes. We’d left newlywed Joseph and his young bride Catherine Bunton setting up home together on the high street in Limerick in September 1819. Time to delve deeper and see how many children of the marriage we can find.

I have to say, despite all the fascinating little snippets I gleaned from his friend Charles Bianconi’s biography (which may, or may not, be entirely accurate…) it’s a real relief to get of proper parish records and printed sources, so let’s go!
