(Sebastian Schilde)
Beat / The title „FCK 2020“already gives an idea of how your mood is in view of the pandemic, right?
Sebastian / Yes, it‘s extremely annoying. Be it the lockdown or the interpersonal stuff. I am a very familiar guy who especially misses hugs and kisses. Also little things like sitting together with friends and drinking coffee.
Michael / And that combined with all the worries. We have been losing income for over a year and we musicians are mentioned almost nowhere. On the contrary, they say we‘re not systemically relevant. But what would people do one year without music and radio …
Sebastian / The good thing is, of course, that we had more time in the studio and weren‘t constantly pulled out by shows on the weekend. But there is also a lack of inspiration, because the performances always give us a lot of input. After all, we make dance music and since one year nobody dances anymore.
Michael / At least there was time again to extensively test new plugins, which you normally don‘t do during the production process.
Beat / What plugins have you been particularly excited about?
Sebastian / We focused very much on Kontakt for a while and tried out countless libraries. Especially orchestral stuff …
Michael / There was a lot on sale so that you could buy a lot of stuff [laughs].
