In for the long haul
Up for a bit of vicarious adventure, Camper fans? Good. Then you had better turn the vicari-ometer up to 11 because it rarely gets more extreme than this.
As I sit down to pen these words, it feels almost impossible not to give a relatable timeframe. The coronavirus pandemic had taken grip and, as social distancing is ramped up and we become more distant from our neighbours, the thought of jumping in an old T4 and hitting the Pan-American Highway is more than just appealing – all of a sudden, it feels like a life goal.
Back in the heady days of total freedom, Marc Fabian (27) and Kathrin Kloda (26) put in the hard graft to make this dream a reality. For one year, the couple saved as much as they could from their jobs as a lifeguard and a media tour manager / business lawyer respectively.
