World’s biggest harbours

A HARBOUR is a safe place on the coast, on a large lake or river where ships can dock. Harbours provide shelter for vessels from large waves and currents. If the harbour is situated in a cove, we call it a natural harbour. Artificial harbours are when people build walls and breakwaters to keep the conditions in the harbour area calm.
