    BEING AN owner-driver can be lonesome work, so it’s always good to take time out and meet with other drivers and people from other sectors of the transport industry, and other industries.

    The Transport Workers Union’s (TWU) annual national council this year achieved just that. It brought together industry representatives from different states as well as the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), politicians, academics and business leaders.
