SEGWAY’S HYDROGEN HIGHLIGHT

Segway has lifted the lid on an electric motorcycle that may breathe new life into a product portfolio dominated by awkward-looking upright electric scooters that have long been the preserve of shopping mall security. Dubbed the Apex H2, this striking e-bike takes aesthetic hints from the Light Cycles that blazed across movie screens in 1985’s and ushers in an electric-hydrogen hybrid powertrain. The soda can-like elements which peek out of the bike’s fairing are removable hydrogen cells that can be quickly swapped out when depleted. Although, Segway has yet to reveal which energy companies will be capable of stocking or refilling such units.
