STRAIGHT-FENDER M151A2s
Last April, Douglas H Suzukovich called and raised an interesting question about “flat edged-fenders” on Ford M151A2s. It took some explaining, but I finally understood what he was describing.
Take a look at two M151A2s in the illustration. The one on the left as an inverted “V” in the front edge of the fenders. Some Ford-built M151A2s have a flat edge on the front of the fender (right).
I didn’t have an answer for Dennis, so I turned to noted military Ford expert, Jim Gilmore.
