Roland VAD706 E-Kit

In 2016, Roland’s flagship TD-50 module made USB-connected, digital drum pads a reality. Last year saw the release of the Japanese tech giant’s V-Drums Acoustic Design (VAD) range, which incorporated its famous V-Drum technology into full-size drum shells for the first time. Combining these elements has resulted in the positively drool-worthy VAD706, which puts an upgraded TD-50X module alongside full-size mesh pads for a more realistic playing experience.

As if that wasn’t enough, the 706 setup also incorporates brand-new 14" digital hi-hats, which promise to up the e-drumming game once again.

In terms of hardware, the new TD-50X module is identical to its predecessor with the exception of a couple of minor cosmetic changes
