Q Are the crabs caught by children from harbour walls the same crabs that go on to become peelers? If so, could I catch my own to use as bait?

In short, the answer is yes. In fact, all shore crabs will moult and shed their shells in order to grow at some point, but there are a couple of things to consider before you rush off to your nearest harbour
