HAT OUR MOODS are inextricably linked to the weather is obvious in a city like Seattle. See them huddled at bus stops, beneath droopy ceilings of mismatched tarps. Note the native craniums. Hooded. Plugged with earbuds. But in the wilderness, we feel it. Like this morning, with a hard rain driving through the emaciated canopy of torched pine. I just never knew how much it could affect dogs.
