One surprising takeaway from the last year and a half is that people have been buying watches like crazy. Seriously, like they were going out of style. So, of course, the question is, why?

Part of it is that people have gotten it in their heads that watches are probably the best appreciable assets around. I’m not arguing. With interest rates at an all-time low, putting your money in the bank the way our parents did is not going to even keep up with the rate of inflation.
