For a Disney film, Cruella is deliciously dark! Were you surprised how dark they allowed this movie to get?

Emma Stone I was. I mean, they really let Craig [Gillespie, director] and Tony [McNamara, screenwriter] write and make what they wanted to make... It was darker than I’ve seen a Disney movie for a long time.
