ew Zealand poet Anne Kennedy brought her musical inspiration to the stage for a special event at the recent Auckland Writers’ Festival. In “The 33”, Kennedy performed poems from her set alongside pianist Sarah Watkins. Staged in a living-room setting with upright piano, red oriental rug and cabaret-style audience, the evening had an informal and moving intimacy.
