LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

I won’t lie, when I first turned my attention to the VW catalog with an eye to scooping up a used but new-to-me Mk6, it was the GTI I had my sights on. The Golf R was awesome but a touch too spendy for my needs and the rest of the range seemed a bit bland and uninspiring, the sporty sophistication of the GTI seemed to hit the spot and tick all the boxes.
