The trio’s debut album (Candlelight/Spinefarm) brings past, present-era Metallica, early Mastodon and the dark, outer limits of post-hardcore, but with a brutal, imperious atmosphere all of its own. These are huge, skilfully constructed epics with colossal melodic payoffs and a ludicrous number of addictive riffs: in particular, is an instant prog metal classic.
