Gardens Illustrated Magazine

Editor’s letter

This past year has seen change in so many ways. It seems then all the more exciting to be able to mark theand look back on this magazine’s heritage and groundbreaking approach to highlighting the incredible people, plants and places of the horticultural world. Of course, even if the magazine has remained a constant since its first publication in 1993, its content has developed as a reflection of the way in which our world has altered, along with the changes in how we use our gardens and the ways in which we plant them. Through every issue, our aim is to produce a magazine that is beautiful and useful; one that reflects, challenges and enhances our relationship with the natural world – something that is now more important than ever.
