Stitch Workshop Kasuti Stitch

Dating back to the 7th century in the southwest region of India in Karnataka and Mysore, Kasuti comes from the words kai (hand) and suti (cotton) and is most commonly used to embellish saris. While there are four stitch styles, they all use a form of Double Running Stitch, sometimes called Holbein Stitch.
