Kinder Scout anniversary protests kick off ‘summer of trespass’

ON 24 APRIL, activists all over England trespassed on privately owned land to mark the 89th anniversary of the Kinder Scout mass trespass. The aim was to protest against the government’s new crime and policing bill, and to highlight the fact that 92% of land in the country is still out of bounds to the public.
