‘MY MOST IMPORTANT ROLE’

Marisol Nichols admits her character in Spiral: From the Book of Saw, tough police chief Captain Angie Garza, isn’t a typical female role in a horror flick. “You’re not going to see me running through the woods in a tank top screaming to get away from the killer,” the 47-year-old actress tells WHO over Zoom from her home in Los Angeles.

Despite the anomaly, Nichols thinks devotees of the franchise are going to love it. “Fans will completely freak out,” she says. “We not only honour the original films but elevate it to a whole new level of scariness,” she explains.
