Shooting accurately at extended distances is a skill that takes time and effort to acquire, but once attained, it can be truly satisfying both on the range and in the field. There is a plethora of cartridges well-suited for long-range endeavors, and lately, ammunition companies have placed much emphasis on developing new rounds for shooting at greater distances. However, a number of these tend to feature somewhat lighter bullets that, while deadly accurate, may not be ideal for penetrating the thick skin and heavy muscle tissue of large-bodied game animals when shots are long.
