Just a little under a year after several employees accused Ellen DeGeneres and her staff of bullying, The Ellen DeGeneres Show is set to be binned after nearly 20 years on the air.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Ellen, 63, confirmed the news, saying, “When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged – as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge any more.”
But while Ellen’s statement alludes to an ending that’s on her own terms, many believe it’s due to dismal ratings and the host’s tarnished brand following the bullying scandal that shocked the world.
