WHAT’S IN MY PACK?

I run a variety of guided walks and adventures in Kosciuszko National park, trying out different equipment in the Australian Alps in all seasons. In summer I run lodge and camping based walks to Australia’s Ten Highest Peaks, plus walks some of the huts and The Sentinel. In winter I specialise in snowshoe adventures, walking across the frozen winter landscape and snowcamping. I also run lodge based and day trips through the snow to my favourite scenic locations. At all times of the year I enjoy taking keen photographers and hikers off the beat on track for sunsets and sunrises and stargazing. Sharing my passion and connection to the land and nature is important.

I’m always on the lookout for ways to reduce weight without limiting safety and ways to reuse items. I also get to try and use a variety of gear according in the season and constantly changing weather in the mountains. Always looking for ways to stay warmer drier and travel safely with my groups whilst caring for this beautiful pristine environment.

For safety in an alpine environment most people underestimate how quickly the weather can change and come unprepared and often learn the hard way. This March I helped two ill prepared hikers evacuate to safety just before
