Evercade Multi Game Cartridges
Blaze Entertainment hasn’t released any new Evercade cartridges since December 2020, so these new carts are very welcome. The new compilations are Jaleco Collection 1 (ten games) and Piko Interactive Collection 2 (13 games), which should keep you going until the next carts arrive. As with previous Evercade carts, each release costs £14.99, which is tremendously good value. Before we examine the titles across each individual collection, we’ll take a look at everything the carts share in common.
Emulation is up first and the two carts cover a good range of systems between them. features a selection isn’t really a good test of the capabilities of the PlayStation emulator. , the lone GBA release, appears to run very well and it’s pleasing to see more systems being added, as it ultimately leads to more games, which is always a good thing. We’d still like to see more resolution options, a sharper output and a ‘pixel perfect’ option to avoid shimmer, but at least we know most are being planned for later in the year.
