I reflect on what has been the strangest of years, with lockdown and the isolation many have had to cope with, I realise how fortunate I am. I live in a particularly beautiful and relatively remote part of the south-west of Scotland. Many of my day-to-day deer management activities remained. I can walk from my door with the rifle and hound, with little prospect of seeing, let alone meeting, another soul.
