If you need some inspiration to keep your garden looking good right through the colder months, a visit to the Winter Garden at Wakehurst in West Sussex is an absolute must. Also known as Kew’s ‘Wild Botanic Garden’, Wakehurst is owned by the National Trust, but is used and managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. As well as being the home of the Millennium Seed Bank, which houses and protects seed from the world’s most threatened and useful wild plants, it’s a lovely place to visit.
