The Auto Drop

In the January 2021 issue I looked at the restoration of Stephen Crawford’s green Taarup single-chop harvester and in the article I mentioned that Stephen was planning to have a special trailer made to team up with the harvester for working days.

With the trailer completed I returned to see it in all its glory. Many of you may never have seen one before and for those that haven’t it was called the Auto Drop trailer – and not only does it look different to a normal silage trailer, but it also operates in a different manner when discharging the silage or forage loads.
