780 rescue part 9

DIFFICULTY RATING

The damp winter weather coincided with preparations for painting the 780 and, as a result, brought the project to a standstill. In the last feature I had separated the wiring loom from the dashboard and marked it up, as I intend to reuse the original loom if possible.

The most challenging part of the DB project has been the restoration of the corroded bonnet, which is almost ready for paint preparation – along with the rest of the tractor.

PARKED UP

I have now parked the tractor where it can remain for the duration of the painting phase and have removed the wheels and supported the skid unit on axle
