Martin Dickinson spent a good deal of his working life involved with the harvesting of peas, starting as a farm student driving a pea cutter, and then one of the earliest mobile viners, before graduating to the larger Mather & Platt MX trailed viners on the back of Ford 5000 tractors. We left his story last time after he had become a Fieldsman for a canning company in Lincolnshire, just as the industry began to change forever.
