It is good timing to talk about how gardening is good for health, as National Growing for Wellbeing Week (June 7–13) takes place this month!

The week is all about celebrating how wonderful growing our own fruit and vegetables can be for our physical and mental health. Staying calm, positive and feeling in control can seem very tricky at times, but growing your own food can definitely help. The simple motions of sowing seeds, raking soil and pulling weeds get us moving, slow down our mind and encourage us to look to the future.
