It’s ‘folly’ to sell revolvers

Q Following the death of my father some 60 years ago, I inherited a small collection of firearms, some of which are slightly unusual and include the .455 revolver that he used in World War I. I have been able to retain all of these firearms on my firearm certificate (FAC), but only after a lot of problems. I have now passed them all on to our eldest daughter, who has them all on her own FAC. I feel it would be sensible to sell the four revolvers and the pistol on her behalf, because I fear regulations on keeping them are bound to get ever more restrictive.
I recollect that some time ago you were quoted as saying the best market for revolvers was in the US. Could you please advise me further over such a sale?
A As a general proposition, I believe it to be folly to sell something simply because you believe that the regulation attached to its ownership might change. I could never recommend making such a decision without clear and credible information.
