THE JUNGLE BOOK (TVNZ 2, 6.40pm). One of Disney’s better efforts to create a liveaction version of an animated classic. This adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling stories may have lost the songs of the 1967 cartoon, but it more than made up for that in its CGI visuals and the various creatures voiced by Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken.
