9 of the best (and coolest) cars

YOU might think it strange that we’ve crammed an old-school V8 coupe together with an electric sedan and a small Yaris hatchback into our imaginary garage, as if a huge fight would inevitably break out between them the second we closed the garage door.

But actually they should get along with each other, because between them they provide a driving experience for just about every mood.

The Toyota GR Yaris, for instance, might seem a little inconspicuous at first but it’s essentially a rally car for the road, complete with all-wheel drive and the most powerful three-cylinder engine ever. The Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe makes this list because it is the last of its kind to emerge from Affalterbach, and by that we mean a rumbling V8 sports car driven through the back wheels. And if the Mercedes represents the end of an era, the Porsche Taycan is the dawn of a new one, and it’s far more exciting than we could have imagined.

Here are the 9 coolest dream cars that we want in our garage in 2021:

1 TOYOTA GR YARIS

Set to hit Mzansi around midyear, this little firecracker was created as a homologation model for Toyota’s next-generation WRC car, which means you’re getting a rally car for the road.

The vehicle’s purpose-built 1.6-litre, three-cylinder powerplant produces 200kW at 6500rpm and 370Nm
