When I bought my smart forfour it was purely as a runabout to ease the fuel bill on my BMW X5 a little. However, the little 899cc tiddler (OK, big tiddler, as it’s not the fortwo!) has really endeared itself to me and I enjoy driving it.
Mine is the 90bhp 899cc prime premium version complete with a tiny three-pot, mounted under the boot floor. Sounds like it should be terrible but actually performance is surprisingly good.
