Not everything grows bitter in time. The raw materials needed to make a simple, hand-painted picture are still available. The more we work the more there is to do, and that realisation has given the purpose to my life.

But with each year my disappointment with art continues.

I could say my disappointment with the art galleries and museums continues. Or my disappointment with governments.

Those statements would not be untrue. But I don’t intend to blame the system and leave
