Meet the apprentices

some job site experience, and it just might inspire a career in the building trades. That’s the thinking behind our Generation NEXT initiative, and why recently partnered with YouthBuild USA, which helps young people pursue their education, prepare for careers, and grow into community leaders. This spring, YouthBuild Boston graduates Bobbi Jones, 26, and Yeren pros. You may spot them as they patched floors, repaired plaster, and installed trim at the Dorchester house; they also spent several days at GAF’s Roofing Academy. Yeren sees carpentry as a “ladder you build to climb up in life.” For Bobbi, job site experience “has made me feel like I can do anything I set my mind to.”
