PUTTING ON A SHOW

YOUR “Legends of the sport” featuring Pretty Polly (1 April) reminded me of the early 1950s and the Suffolk County Show.

I was showing my pony in the 14.2hh class when Davina LeeSmith came in with Pretty Polly and won. At that time, my pony and I were very green compared to the professional Davina.
