LOCKDOWN has affected people in many different ways, that’s for sure. Closed workplaces, a lack of social gatherings and limits on group activities have been hell for some. But for others, the ability to get away from other people in perfect isolation means elements of the past year have been a pleasure, not a pain.

With restrictions easing, some semblance of a ‘normal’ life is returning, but you don’t have to jump back into the hustle and bustle of a social scene if you don’t want to. Although the lifting of travel restrictions means you can go and enjoy some of our recommended great driving roads, there’s also scope to take isolation to a whole new level with a spot of wild camping.
