Natural light has the ability to transform a space, evoking feelings of warmth and contentment. Light can make a room appear more spacious and welcoming. As light levels alter during the day, the play of shadow and light in a room changes, infusing life and personality, warmth and coolness into a space. Adequate light is vital for health and emotional wellbeing; it boosts your body’s Vitamin D stores, promotes better sleep at night and improves work productivity.

Some homes have more natural light than others. Factors that impede natural light include a home’s orientation, proximity to neighbouring properties, and trees and shrubs that block natural light. Solid doors, small windows, internal room partitions and heavy window treatments all have an impact on light levels.
