increasing number of people are keen to grow their own food, providing fresh, delicious and healthy ingredients right at their doorstep. The reasons for this fantastic homegrown revolution are varied, with each of us having different, or multiple, motivations for wanting to contribute produce to our kitchens. It could be the desire to understand and have some control over where our food comes from. There is a significant detachment between farm produce and what ends up on our tables. This understanding is particularly important for children, who often don’t realise that food is not grown in a supermarket.
