THE INDIAN community in Kenya played a beneficial role in assisting the east African country to get its independence, according to Jayendra Malde, a Member of the County Assembly (MCA).
An MCA is the equivalent of a Member of the Provincial Legislature in South Africa.
Malde, of Parklands, a neighbourhood in the city of Nairobi, is also the vice-chairperson of the Hindu Council of Kenya.
